God’s blessings, strong faith

The words of a wife, separated from a very sick husband, and God’s presence…

“Listen to my words, Lordconsider my lament. Hear my cry for help, my King and my God, for to you I pray. In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly.”–Psalm 5:1-3

“Early mornings and late evenings are especially lonely for me. Yesterday morning, I awoke with the words to the praise song, Waymaker, ringing through my mind as I had a good cry. I know God is with me, and He is with Dave, and I am grateful, but I miss my husband so much!! Then the phone rang–the hospital calling. They let me know that Dave’s trachea had cracked, and it needed to be replaced as soon as possible, another procedure that required my phone approval. I asked if Dave was awake, and they said he was. I wanted to FaceTime with him before the procedure. He was propped up in the bed and very alert. As I talked, he nodded and smiled. Then I said a quick prayer for him and the medical personnel caring for him.

“God is listening and answering our prayers for continued healing and care as we share our hearts with Him. He loves us and wants to hear our voices of prayers and praise. He is with all of us as we go through this strange and unfamiliar coronavirus-pandemic storm of life. He continues to be sovereign, and we can trust Him! Again, I am called to count my blessings!! One of those blessings was a call from his nurse asking if Dave had pictures of himself on his phone. I assured her that there were plenty on his Facebook page. She wanted to see how he normally styled his hair so she could trim it the way he liked it! This was such a thoughtful gesture. Little things like this let me know they are truly caring about him as well as caring for him. Thank you, Father, for taking care of my dear husband!! And, thank you, dear friends, for your continued prayers for each of us. My heart is overflowing!!”
